Readimus Terms of Use
Effective date: 5 October 2026 Last updated: 5 October 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to the Readimus application, website, and other services (together, “Readimus” or the “Service”).
Readimus is operated by Gaisar Davletkildin, an individual operating the Service from Serbia (the “Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). You can contact us at support@readimus.com.
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use features that require an account.
1. What Readimus Is
Readimus helps you maintain a personal book library, track your reading, create lists and notes, publish reviews, discuss books, and interact with other readers.
Readimus provides information about books but does not sell or provide access to full book texts unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular feature. The presence of a book listing in the Service does not mean that Readimus is its publisher, seller, or rights holder.
2. Who May Use Readimus
By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and legally able to accept these Terms under the laws of your country.
If you have not reached the age of majority in your country, you may use Readimus only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By granting permission, the parent or legal guardian agrees to supervise the minor’s use of the Service.
We may restrict access in countries, or by persons, where use of the Service is prohibited under applicable law.
3. Guest Access
Readimus may provide limited guest access without standard registration. Guests may view available materials but may not publish content or take other actions that are available only to holders of full accounts.
Guest access may use a technical anonymous account that is necessary for the application to function. Our Privacy Policy explains how related data is processed.
We may change the features available to guests or discontinue guest access.
4. Your Account and Its Security
To use all Readimus features, you must create an account and accept these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
You agree to:
- provide current and accurate registration information;
- not impersonate another person or organization;
- keep your login credentials confidential;
- not transfer, sell, or allow another person to use your account; and
- notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.
You are responsible for actions taken through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
A username may be changed or released if it violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or third-party rights, or creates a false impression of an official connection with a person or organization.
5. Community Guidelines
The Community Guidelines form part of these Terms. They establish rules for publishing content, communicating, promoting books, posting reviews, handling spoilers, and other conduct within the community.
Before you can publish User Content, you must accept these Terms and the Community Guidelines. A violation of the Community Guidelines is also a violation of these Terms.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Readimus. Content that violates the Community Guidelines may be removed, and the accounts responsible for it may be restricted or terminated.
6. Your Content
“User Content” means materials you add to Readimus, including profile information, an avatar, lists, book information, reviews, comments, ratings, notes, images, and reading activity.
You retain your rights in the User Content you create. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that content to Readimus.
You represent that:
- you have the rights or another lawful basis necessary to publish the User Content;
- its publication and use in accordance with these Terms do not infringe the rights of others; and
- the User Content complies with the Community Guidelines and applicable law.
Do not upload confidential information that should not be available to other users. Privacy settings determine the visibility of certain information, but no system can guarantee absolute confidentiality after content has been published or shared with others.
7. License to User Content
To store, display, transmit, and moderate User Content, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, technically format, display, and distribute that content solely to the extent necessary to:
- operate and improve Readimus;
- display content in accordance with the settings you select;
- maintain safety, prevent abuse, and perform moderation; and
- comply with the law and enforce these Terms.
This license does not give us the right to sell your content as a standalone work or claim authorship of it.
The license ends when the relevant content or account is deleted, except where the material:
- was previously shared with other users as part of a permitted interaction;
- temporarily remains in backups; or
- must be retained for safety, handling a complaint, or complying with a legal obligation in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
8. Book Information and External Sources
Book information may come from external book databases, users, or other lawful sources. External data may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
Users may create book listings and suggest changes. Do not knowingly submit false information or upload descriptions, covers, images, full texts, or substantial excerpts from books without the necessary rights or another lawful basis.
We may review, edit, correct, supplement, merge, reject, replace, or remove book titles, author names, descriptions, covers, bibliographic metadata, and other catalog information to maintain catalog quality and respect third-party rights. We do not guarantee that every suggested change will be accepted or retained.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- violate the law, these Terms, or the Community Guidelines;
- interfere with the operation or security of Readimus;
- circumvent access restrictions, blocks, or moderation measures;
- access another person’s account without authorization;
- collect user data through scraping, bots, or other automated means without our written permission;
- create accounts or publish content automatically without our permission;
- distribute malicious code, spam, or deceptive links;
- copy, decompile, modify, or attempt to obtain the source code of the application, except where expressly permitted by applicable law or the licenses of open-source components; or
- use Readimus in a manner that infringes the rights of others.
10. Reports, Blocking, and Moderation
You may report a profile, review, or comment using the in-app Report feature, or report any content by emailing support@readimus.com. You may also block a user if you do not want to see their content or interact with them; the effects of blocking are described in the Community Guidelines.
We aim to review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours and may take measures described in the Community Guidelines, including limiting the visibility of or removing content, restricting features, temporarily suspending an account, or permanently closing an account.
We consider the nature, context, severity, and frequency of a violation. Serious violations may result in immediate action without prior warning. Creating another account to circumvent an enforcement measure is prohibited.
If you believe a decision was made in error, you may request a review by emailing support@readimus.com.
11. Readimus Intellectual Property
The application, website, software code, designs, interface elements, logos, and other Readimus materials belong to the Operator or are lawfully used by the Operator. These Terms do not transfer any rights in those materials to you.
To the extent necessary to use the Service, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use Readimus in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the store from which you obtained the application. This right may be terminated as provided by these Terms and applicable law.
If you obtained the application through the Apple App Store and no separate end-user license agreement is provided for Readimus in the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies to the application license. If you obtained the application through Google Play, you must also comply with the applicable Google Play terms.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
Readimus may use third-party services, including hosting, authentication, data storage, and external sources of book information. Some features may also contain links to third-party websites.
Use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party websites and do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or security of their content.
13. Changes to and Availability of the Service
We are developing Readimus and may add, change, or discontinue individual features. We will try to provide advance notice if a change materially affects use of the Service, but this may not be possible in an emergency, such as a security threat or a need to comply with the law.
We do not guarantee that Readimus will operate continuously or without errors. Access may be temporarily restricted due to maintenance, updates, technical failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
14. Account Deletion and Ending Use
You may stop using Readimus and delete your account through the application settings. The deletion process and any limited retention of certain data are described in the Privacy Policy. You can also review the external Account deletion page.
We may restrict or terminate your access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law, or if you pose a threat to other people or the security of the Service. Where reasonable and safe, we will inform you of the reason and any opportunity to request a review.
After use ends, provisions that by their nature should continue to apply will remain in effect. These include provisions concerning content rights, liability, dispute resolution, and governing law.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Readimus is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Service will always operate without errors, that all book information will be complete and accurate, or that User Content will meet your expectations.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any mandatory warranty or consumer right that cannot be limited by contract.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from the use of, or inability to use, Readimus.
The Operator is not liable for User Content or user conduct to the extent such liability is not imposed on the Operator by applicable law. We review reports and take reasonable measures in accordance with the Community Guidelines and applicable law.
This section does not limit liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Serbia.
If mandatory laws of the country of your habitual residence grant you consumer rights that cannot be limited by contract, those rights remain unaffected.
You may bring a claim before a court or other competent authority in accordance with applicable law. Before doing so, we invite you to contact us at support@readimus.com so that we can try to resolve the dispute directly, but doing so is not a prerequisite for bringing a claim before a court or competent authority.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Readimus develops or as its features or legal requirements change. The current version and the date of the latest update will be published on the Readimus website.
We will notify you of material changes through the application, by email, or by another appropriate method before they take effect, unless the law or an urgent need requires otherwise. Where necessary, we may ask you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use certain features.
19. Transfer of the Service
In the future, Readimus may be transferred to a company or another successor. In that case, the Operator’s rights and obligations under these Terms may be transferred together with the Service in accordance with applicable law and the Privacy Policy. We will notify users of any material change of operator.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person without our consent.
20. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
These Terms, the Community Guidelines, the Privacy Policy, and applicable app store rules collectively govern your use of Readimus. If they conflict, mandatory provisions of applicable law prevail.
